Website Migration Checklist

  1. Confirm ownership or written authorization.
  2. Scan the source install folder to detect the app and version.
  3. Prepare the destination install, database, and runtime version.
  4. Choose same-domain, new-domain, temporary-domain, or in-place rewrite mode.
  5. Generate source and destination agents.
  6. Run destination setup, then source transfer.
  7. Review warnings and migration logs.
  8. Cut over DNS only after the destination passes checks.
